We are a centrally located law practice with an emphasis on local government, planning, environmental and property law.
We are often involved in issues arising in respect of development, its planning, control, and its environmental consequences.
We regularly advise and represent the various stakeholders including local councils, developers, property owners and affected residents.
Our clients include inner city, metropolitan and rural councils. We are panel solicitors to DIPNR. We have numerous developer clients. We frequently liaise with and provide advice to architects, town planners, engineers, heritage consultants and the like.
We have an active role in the Environment and Planning Law Association of NSW (EPLA). We are represented on the Environmental Planning and Development Committee of the Law Society of NSW.
Two of our partners are accredited specialists in local government law. Another is an accredited specialist in property law.
Since we represent a number of statutory authorities, we are inevitably involved in areas of administrative law, privacy law, employment law and criminal prosecutions.
We act for buyers, sellers and developers of property. We act on compulsory acquisitions, and related matters of compensation, complex subdivisions and easements. Our work includes commercial law, joint ventures and private/public partnerships.
Our firm merges two long-standing Sydney law practices – Pike Pike & Fenwick and Hill Thomson & Sullivan. We have a long-standing client base in areas of general law including personal injury, wills and deceased estates, and commercial transactions.
We seek to provide:
- quality legal representation and advice;
- a sound understanding of the client’s interests;
- pragmatic and practical solutions; and
- moderate legal fees.
We have a sincere interest and a long-term professional commitment to providing prompt, effective and affordable legal representation to our clients.
